Chance majored in the Growth and Structures of Cities and minored in Economics at Haverford College. Architectural internships at Ferguson & Shamamian Architects, John Milner Architects and AOS Architects introduced him to the design and construction of traditional architectural styles before coming to work at Griffiths Construction in 2015. Chance has spent the last eight years working in the estimating department, as a superintendent, and as a project manager in preparation of taking over his father's role in running the daily operations at GCI.
After running his own carpentry contracting business from 1978 to 1982, Bob was a key employee for a Main Line builder where he managed field operations, estimating, contracts, and projects for 10 years. He formed Griffiths Construction in 1992 and led the company through nearly 150 projects over the last thirty years. Bob has handed over the day-to-day operations to Chance Griffiths and his team, but has remained on board as a consultant.
Michele grew up in a family of craftsmen and has always been a hands-on learner growing up. She studied at The Pennsylvania College of Technology and uses her varied background in construction, customer service, and banking to help facilitate daily office responsibilities and supporting the GCI Team as well as our clients. Michele has a strong sense of community pride and a love for acts of service. She has been involved in coordinating the New Heights Program with the Philadelphia ICAA to introduce middle school students to the trades and to foster an appreciation of architecture. She volunteers with a local historical society and is always willing to lend a hand when needed. She has four daughters and is kept busy with her youngest’s pursuit of competitive archery.
Doug started his career over 40 years ago in the building industry as a carpenter. He worked his way up to Superintendent, then Estimator, followed by Project Manager before becoming Director of Custom Sales for a mainline custom home builder. After joining Griffiths in 2009, he has become lead estimator and a project manager.
Cathy has always had a passion for home building and design and has studied architecture and interior design. She has over a decade of project management, selections coordination, and estimating experience with a Main Line custom home builder. She was awarded Best Selections/Options Coordinator by the regional home builders association for her work on luxury homes and estates. Cathy joined Griffiths in 2022 and brings a breadth of knowledge and experience in construction administration. She is both an estimator and project manager.
